Pomorie

20km. north of Burgas Pomorie is located. From 7 september 2002 a functioning museum of salt due to the “far”. By Pomorie is located and an ancient tomb of the 3rd century ad. It was opened in 1888 and represents the original facility, which combines the thracian custom of burial and roman construction equipment. The tomb is preserved dromos (long corridor) 22 m., which leads to a circular chamber with a diameter of 11.6 m. and height 5.5 m. It is unusual for a semi cylindrical arched vault, standing in the center of a hollow column with a diameter of 3.3 meters, which extends up like a sponge and merges with the circular wall of the hall. The ring wall are five niches, which suggests that they were placed urns containing the ashes of the deceased. From the start of internal column existed spiral stone staircase and the floor is covered with thick stucco mixed with crushed brick, with a slope to the dromos. Since there are traces of stucco covered with dark green paint, it is believed that the central hall was plastered and painted. Suggests is that mausoleum or heron Anhialo a rich family, which are periodically performed religious rituals.
